What level skier are you?

Zermatt is a big ski area with access points from different lifts in different parts of town. If you are a beginner in Zermatt it’s different to most resorts in that there is no beginners area in town so you have to head up the mountain. The expert skier can of course go anywhere but if this is you then you might be interested in certain things like the best bumps or where to find the perfect corduroy.

Zermatt for beginners

You may have read that Zermatt is not great for beginner skiers and snowboarders. 

To be totally honest you can find places with easier terrain than Zermatt, but you’d be pushed to find somewhere with such good views, atmosphere and facilities.

The Zermatt ski area is a red run skier’s dream!

Intermediate skiers who are comfortable on most red runs will have a fantastic time exploring the area.

There are lots of ski schools and some independent instructors in Zermatt now. You can read more on the ski school page.
