This is an old mountain hut on the boarder with Italy. Upstairs you will find a bar where you can get drinks and delicious sandwiches or cakes. Downstairs is restaurant with simple but tasty Italian food. The tables and chairs are squashed in close but that just adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Ski from Klein Matterhorn down the red piste (85) and cross under the t’bars to blue piste (88) across to Testa Grigia and you’ll see the mountain hut ahead of you.
For hikers
Walkers – You can take the Matterhorn Express from town up to Trockener Steg, then switch to the Glacier Ride 3S to Klein Matterhorn… and now you can take the Glacier Ride 2 from Klein Matterhorn down to Testa Grigia. Probably about an hour in lift time each way, but fantastic views down into Italy.
