With its panoramic view of the Matterhorn from its terrace and its wonderful swiss alpine-chic interior, it is the perfect place to enjoy your lunch with amazing views to the Matterhorn over the trees at Riffelalp. There is also a place ‘pit stop’ where you can get your skis tuned while you have lunch!
Skiing down piste 39 from Riffelberg towards Furi you will come across Riffelalp, a large 5 star hotel. Just below this as the piste starts to roll over is the turning to Alphitta. Keep an eye out for the big blue flags.
For hikers
Walkers – Take the Gornergrat train from town up to Riffelalp and get off . Through the barrier there is a beautiful walk through the trees along a road to Riffelalp Resort, around 10 minutes. As you reach the piste you will see the flags and the way down to the restaurant on your right..
